Know Your Numbers! campaign to help more people be aware of their blood pressure

Blood Pressure UK, Kinetik Wellbeing and the NPA all joined forces to deliver a webinar to support pharmacies to carry out important blood pressure checks in their community. The team at EMT were pleased to support this key information sharing session led by expert speakers, discussing all the hot topics around high blood pressure and how pharmacies can leverage the important blood pressure service in store.


The session, led by Sanjeev Panesar from the NPA offered valuable insights into how pharmacies can actively support Know Your Numbers! Week” (8–14 September) a nationwide campaign aimed at reaching the missing 5 million people in the UK who are unknowingly living with high blood pressure.

Campaign Context


Phil Pyatt, CEO of Blood Pressure UK, outlined the urgency behind this year’s campaign, focused on early detection and empowering patients. Pharmacies are encouraged to order campaign packs featuring posters, balloons and digital assets to drive visibility.


Access to Monitors & Marketing Tools


Amy Kendall from Kinetik Wellbeing highlighted how their partnership with the NHS and community pharmacies is helping to make blood pressure monitoring more accessible. Pharmacies can order monitors and promotional materials via us here at EMT Healthcare.


Accurate Measurement & Advice

Dr. Serena provided practical guidance on delivering accurate blood pressure checks in-pharmacy, plus lifestyle interventions that can be shared with patients. She also encouraged use of the My Blood Pressure app to support ongoing self-monitoring.


Marketing Support from NPA Connect

Lauren Pursell introduced the NPA Connect marketing bundle, available free for NPA members. It includes ready-made social media assets, posters, and leaflets to help pharmacies promote their involvement in the campaign and raise awareness locally.
